Chella and Mitch Mariani are a happily married couple, living the good life in San Diego. She’s a marketing genius in the cosmetics division at an international conglomerate; he’s one of the city’s most successful real estate investors. Life has never been better.
Until a series of disturbing events cloud a blissful fifth wedding anniversary.
Lies surface. Suspicions escalate. Danger lurks. Their seemingly taut bond unravels their love to its core. As misguided choices threaten to destroy them forever, keeping their hearts on the path to a collective future might be the most monumental fight of all.
It’s been 5 years since Chella and Mitch have been married. Their life couldn’t have been better. They both love each other, have a daughter they adore and are successful in their respective careers. All is well, but things take a nosedive when on their fifth anniversary things go terribly wrong.
Unravel is a short sequel to Mitch and Chella’s story which started in Uncorked. I was glad to meet this couple again. This story was realistic to the core. Usually we don’t know what happens to a couple after their happily ever after. What we read in Unravel is the after the HEA phase. Through Mitch and Chella, Rebecca shows that even after you get together, things are not always rosy and happy. Along with the ups, comes the downs. That is the circle of life.
Mitch and Chella have a happy life, but there are a few things that upset them too. And what those things are we find out in Unravel. A relationship is always a work in progress as Rebecca Rohman illustrates through Unravel. I enjoyed reading how Mitch and Chella overcome the obstacles in their relationship and find their way to each other.
In true Rebecca Rohman fashion, this book was filled with suspense, drama, lots of emotions and some sexy times, the hot kinds. This book is best read after Uncorked to understand it truly well.
